a double petal datura?
ReplyDeletei had a normal one growing uninvited last summer, i was afraid that it would become invasive, as i read, and i didn't keep any seeds. but no sign of it this year - except for a very tiny one, far away from her initial place, in shade, probably that is why it doesn't grow. but i am intent on keeping the seeds, if she grows to have some. it is beautiful!
(and yes, there are stories about adventurers on the black sea coast, who use these seeds instead of other more famous drugs :-)
The seed pod (I will post a picture) looks like some sort of medieval torture implement. I think nature is trying to tell us something.
